Zuzana Sochova and Eduard Kunce: Agile Communication

Communication is fundamental to agile development. This interactive workshop was a valuable demonstration of communication patterns. Communication patterns are modes of communications that we use repetitively in particular situations and with certain people. We all use schematic behaviors, where our reactions are governed by an established, often subconscious pattern.

In order to improve communication, we shall be aware that such patterns exist and be careful not to apply those patterns without realizing it! This engaging workshop gave insight into some of the communication issues that may be preventing us from achieving our goals. Sometimes, the solution lies at hand, but in order to see this solution, we need to have the proper mindset. We need to have the wish to look for an alternative to the well-known, and often used communication pattern. We need to be ready to leave some of our habits behind and explore new ways of communication.
